📝 Ingredients (for 2 toasties):
- 4 slices of sourdough bread (or your favorite rustic bread)
- 100g (about 3.5 oz) triple cream Brie, sliced
- 1–2 tbsp hot honey (store-bought or homemade, see below)
- 1 tbsp butter (for toasting)
- Optional: a handful of arugula or thinly sliced pear for extra flavor
🔥 For Homemade Hot Honey (optional):
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- Heat together gently, then let sit for 10 min. Strain if desired.
👨🍳 Instructions:
Butter the Bread:- Spread butter on one side of each bread slice (this will be the outside of the sandwich).
- Place a few slices of triple cream Brie on the unbuttered side.
- Drizzle with hot honey (not too much — it's powerful).
- Optional: Add arugula or pear slices for a flavor twist.
- Top with the second slice of bread (buttered side out).
- Heat a skillet or sandwich press over medium heat.
- Cook each toastie for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and the Brie is melty.
