🧀 Triple Cream Brie & Hot Honey Toastie Recipe

 

📝 Ingredients (for 2 toasties):

  • 4 slices of sourdough bread (or your favorite rustic bread)
  • 100g (about 3.5 oz) triple cream Brie, sliced
  • 1–2 tbsp hot honey (store-bought or homemade, see below)
  • 1 tbsp butter (for toasting)
  • Optional: a handful of arugula or thinly sliced pear for extra flavor

🔥 For Homemade Hot Honey (optional):

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tsp chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • Heat together gently, then let sit for 10 min. Strain if desired.

👨‍🍳 Instructions:

Butter the Bread:
  • Spread butter on one side of each bread slice (this will be the outside of the sandwich).
Assemble:
  • Place a few slices of triple cream Brie on the unbuttered side.
  • Drizzle with hot honey (not too much — it's powerful).
  • Optional: Add arugula or pear slices for a flavor twist.
  • Top with the second slice of bread (buttered side out).
Toast It:
  • Heat a skillet or sandwich press over medium heat.
  • Cook each toastie for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and the Brie is melty.



Serve Hot:

    • Slice in half, drizzle with a little more hot honey if desired, and enjoy immediately.
